On Top Of It

Last night I saw a documentary. It was produced by Leonardo Dicaprio alongside Warner Bros. This may sound entertaining but it wasn't at all what you may think. The name, '11th Hour' and it was a full one and a half hour about earth and what we call sustainability.
Mr. Dicaprio gathered a huge amount of specialists and scientists that all agree on the same thing, humans are destroying the earth and the outcome: we will die. This is to the earth it self not a problem since it has all the time in the world but as the Indian tribe leader said '/.../ we don't.'

After seeing this I wondered what I have gotten my self into... why am I starting an education in design and management which will lead to som sort of creative profession that might turn into adverticing - adverticing for something very 'unenvironmentalyfriendly' which will probably sell more and destroy the earth even more just because I wan't to make money. How bizar is that?!

All I know is it got me thinking... and it will surely get anybody who sees it to think about what they're doing. What kind of electricity we use in our homes... Where our wooden furniture come from... How far that fish we just ate had traveled... What we flush down the toilet...

Watch it. It's good and this is something everybody have to be aware of... Make the world your priority. (Click here!)
